Welcome to the H&R Block Community! We’re glad to have you here! Participation in this community is open ended and voluntary, but we do ask you to keep a few things in mind to make it a better experience for everyone.

First and foremost, treat others with respect. Do your part to ensure everyone has a constructive and positive experience in the community. As a whole (that includes you), we aim to be helpful, professional, supportive, and knowledgeable. We recognize that taxes and finances can be a stressful subject, but by sharing knowledge and support with others we aim to make it easier.

Most importantly, please follow the posting policies listed below. These policies exist to keep the community healthy, welcoming and useful. Users who do not follow these rules will be addressed accordingly, and may be banned from the community. H&R Block also reserves the right to occasionally clean up the forums by removing irrelevant and unconstructive threads and/or posts.

The following behaviors are not acceptable and may result in content removal or being banned from the community:

  • Posting messages that are inflammatory, unconstructive, or at odds with the aims of the community.
  • Posting messages that contain offensive language or references or personal attacks against other forum participants, including staff and moderators.
  • Posting messages that advocate illegal actions. Any posts that do so will be removed.
  • Posting the same message in multiple threads or forums.
  • Posting unconstructive messages about the company and/or other products and services.
  • Promoting or soliciting for your own business
  • Posting unsolicited messages (including “spam”).
  • Posting irrelevant or off topic subject matter.
  • Posting links to 3rdparty websites outside of official sources.
  • Promoting competitor's products or services.

Wondering what you should do? Here are a few suggestions:

  • Read and learn! More than anything, this community exists to be an interactive and ever growing resource.
  • Search first for the answer to your question. There have been thousands of questions asked and aswered over the past few years.
  • Ask questions! It can be to satisfy your own needs for knowledge or to propel a conversation further.
  • Answer questions! Think you know the answer to a peer’s question? Give it a shot and share your experience.
  • Encourage others! Be free with ‘thank you’, ‘good job’, and kudos.
