how do i save my completed tax return

I would like to save my completed return after filing it last night but don't see where to do that. Plz email link to download and save my return as pdf on my computer.

Welcome to the community! Here are a list of steps of how you can save your return as a PDF to your computer.
 
 
To Save the return as a PDF:

Windows:

  1. Open the return to be saved as a PDF file in the program.
  2. Select the File menu in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Click Save as PDF.
  4. Follow on-screen instructions for installing PDF995 if prompted.
  5. Enter a name, or use the existing name.
  6. Click Browse to save the file to a different location. The default location is the My Documents\HRBlock\ directory (My Documents\Taxcut\ directory for prior-year versions of the program)
  7. Click OK to save the file to PDF.

MAC:

      1. Open the return that needs to be printed using the program.
      2. Select the File menu in the top left corner of the screen.
      3. Click Print.
      4. Select the forms you want to print.
      5. Click Print. The standard Macintosh Print dialog will display.
      6. Click PDF.
      7. Choose Save as PDF.
      8. Enter a file name.
      9. Choose the location to save the pdf file.
      10. Click Save.

 

 


To Print the PDF copy of the return:

  1. Navigate to the location of the saved file.
  2. Double-click the file to open it in Adobe Reader, or another PDF viewer.
  3. Click the printer icon.
  4. Click OK.

When I save as you stated it save an old return. How do I stop it saving the old return (I have 5 years of HR software / return on my pc)

I have a question move an electronic format to a flash drive for the next years taxes?

Welcome to the H&R Block community.

 

You can access tax returns that have been completed in MyBlock in PDF format.  From there you can save the return to your computer or a flash drive as a PDF copy.

 

If you used the online software to prepare your tax return then your general information will carry forward for you next year and all you'll have to do is check it and make sure that it's correct as you go through the interview.
