how can i get the money for the interest i paid from my 1098 E form? I am still a dependent on my parents taxes this year but i have been paying my student loans, not them. But it wont let me claim anything from my 1098 E form since i am a dependent.

If you are being claimed as a dependent by your parents, you cannot deduct the student loan interest. This is per IRS rules. See page 30 of IRS Publication 970 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p970.pdf
