Transfer Tax Files for New Computer

I've transferee the documents/HRBlock file folder from my old computer to my new computer.  Are those the only file I need to transfer for continuity when I do my 2017 taxes?  No other hidden files??

Hi mcm4544,

Welcome to the H&R Block community.

I'm fairly certain that based on the information you provided that you're all set for next year, but since I'm not an expert on the desktop software I might suggest giving support a call at 1-800-HRBLOCK just to be 100% sure.

You will be just fine if you're using the online version of the software.

How did you get files transferred?  When I called HR Block person I talked to did not know how to do this.

This question gets asked so often, year after year, I don't understand why it's not a FAQ list somewhere. Haven't found a consistent answer yet (except for Business, and that sounds pretty complicated for what should be a relatively simple task).

I wouldn't bother with calling either; the girl I talked to didn't seem to know anything about taxes. Every question I asked, she had to ask someone else, or read for 10 minutes. After an hour I finally gave up... thought I'd try this, but so far it hasn't been very helpful either.
