Software glitches: no link for "Check Status", and box for 2016 AGI frozen

IRS rejected my return. H&R soft does not display the "Check Status" and "Open" links for the rejected returns, yet it did display those links earlier, after I filed (and IRS accepted) a Request for Extension.  Therefore I cannot proceed with verifying what was wrong in my return.

 

Moreover, the box that requires us to input the 2016 AGI show 0 and is blocked, does not let me enter anything in that box, because the system says: "Since you did the taxes with us last year, we automatically input that figure for you". But it did not, it shows 0 and is  does not let me enter the amount either. I believe that is the reason IRS rejected my taxes.

 

What can be done? Anybody encountered this same problem?
