Do I need to amend State taxes if I only made changes to Federal?

I amended my federal tax to be a dependent of parents. And then went through the state ones too.

I read online that I don't need to amend again if its only federal that changed.

But now i see on the first page of my tax return that state is efile is listed as No. Can i just file my federal amend or do I have to send my state ones again through the mai?

Re: Do I need to amend State taxes if I only made changes to Federal?

It's generally a good idea to send amended returns to states when you amend your federal return.  Even if the bottom line doesn't change.  The IRS tends to let affected states know when a return has been amended, and if the state doesn't have a corresponding amended return, you're likely to get a letter from them asking for one.
