Where do I find the data files to transfer them to another computer?

    • Windows 10
      1. To search for a data file, you would enter *.tXX (Where "XX" is the year of tax data you're looking for. Example: .t13 would be for tax year 2013).
        1. Click into the Cortana search bar found in the bottom left corner of the screen. This may be labeled Ask me anything.
        2. Enter your search term in the Search box.
        3. A list should appear. Click MyStuff at the bottom of this list.
  • Windows 8/8.1

      1. Hold the Windows key and press the F key to open the search menu.
      2. Enter your search term in the search box.
  • Windows 7/Vista

      1. Click Start.
      2. Click into the Search Bar at the bottom of the Start menu.

      4. The search item (if found) will appear at the top of the Start menu.

    1. Click File on the Apple toolbar, located at the top of the screen on the desktop.
    2. Click Find at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
    3. Select the Mac HD on the finder sidebar on the left of the screen.
    4. Type .tXX(Where “XX” would be the year of the file. Example: .t13 would be for tax year 2013.) into the Search box at the top right of the Finder window and all files with that extension will populate the menu below.
