Emerald Card usage is not available in all countries, outside of the US.  If you are planning to travel outside the U.S., we recommend you inform us by calling the number on the back of your Emerald Card PRIOR to leaving the country.

When you contact us, we will notate the dates you’ll be out of the country so your card won’t be restricted. However, in some instances, even if we have notated the account, the card may still be restricted to protect the security of the Card Account.

While out of the country, you can go inside of a bank that accepts MasterCard, but note, a $35 Over the Counter withdrawal fee will be charged to your account.  ATM usage has been restricted in all countries outside of the United States.

Travel exclusions will allow International ATM transactions as long as there is an ATM available that carries the Mastercard, Maestro or Cirrus brand mark. The Card Account must have a sufficient balance available, including any fees.

If a merchant accepts Debit MasterCard, each transaction is subject to exchange rates.
