This question may have been asked and answered, however I've been able to find a clear cut answer. After filing taxes for year 2012, my husband received a W2 form that we did not know about. Instead of filing a 1040X form for this, can I add this 2012 W2 form to 2013. I file online.

Sorry, no. You're going to need to amend and add the income to the year you received it.
But just go see one of tax pros. They'll be able to get that done real quick.

Oh, further, if you DON'T amend that return, the IRS will eventually send you a "nasty-gram" with more penalty and interest than if you discovered the error on your own. They like to wait a few years before sending those letters...
